Episode #37 of Mind of a Mentor features the incredible Joey Adler, former President & CEO of Diesel Canada who works today as a social entrepreneur and passionate humanitarian reinventing the business of philanthropy. After spending nearly 30 years in the corporate world, raising a family, and going through some major life changes, she was ready to do more for the global community.

Joey Adler founded the ONEXONE Foundation in 2005, an initiative dedicated to the welfare and well-being of children with programs in locations worldwide, including South Africa, Rwanda, Kenya, Haiti and North America. The foundation’s programs are dedicated to five fundamental pillars of a quality human life: water, health, education, play, and nutrition.

She is also the creator of Department of GOOD, a concept Adler developed following the ONEXONE relief effort for the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Dept. of GOOD(DoG) is a unique, philanthropic online platform that empowers small businesses & global artisans by creating a new opportunity for community-focused, for-profit retail.

Joey Adler has been featured as a TEDx speaker with TEDxWomenMontreal. Her talk is called “How to Change the World With Love.” She also currently sits on the Board of Trustees of Partners in Health and on the Advisory Board of the Women’s Executive Network (WXN), and has received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business for her numerous achievements in business and in charity.
